A picture I started earlier this year for everyone who lost someone this year, including me. We had very sad begining to the year, and my feelings for all the tragities went into this picture...I hope you all can feel that in some way whilst looking at it.
Even though it was a roughly done picture I put a lot into this.
I hope next year is filled with less tragity and more happiness.

This picture is so beautiful! It has such a nice composition and the lanterns really make the piece. I really like how they glow and illuminate the water. Great job!

This is such a soulful piece; the contrast yet harmony b/w speeded digital brushwork (Most of the water background, sakura petals & soft lanterns) and lined, crisp forms (The silver-haired character and her smooth yet firm curves, skirt folds gently floating b/w water and surface) is what gives this artwork a near organic feel and in addition with her sombre expression underscores the introspect and the spiritual.
